Last month we all enjoyed a trip down to Croyde in Devon where we had a surf lesson. A first for many of us so there was plenty of micky taking and belly flops to be had on this surf trip. A chance for the newest member of Shadowplay, Joanna to show us what she is made of. Not bad for an official day two!

Torrential rain on the drive down did not fill us with excitement but as we pulled up to the campsite the sun came out to welcome us. The sea certainly did not let us down, the waves were intense so we all got stuck in. Everyone succeeded and managed to stand on the board, if only for a second or two. After being battered in the sea for a few hours we had a lovely cold cider before attempting to put the tents up. Aimee and Joanna were the clear winners on this one!

We then had a BBQ before heading into the local village for more drinks in the pub. An early wake up call from 20+ seagulls attacking our left over bread rolls did not go down well but it meant that Andy could enjoy and early morning surf to knock out the hangover! We are all keen to get back on the waves, so bring on the next trip!
